Video game is an electronic game that interacts with a user interface to generate visual feedback on a video device. Wii is a console for home based video game released by Nintendo. This is a seventh-generation console; the Wii primarily competes with Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3. In worldwide sales till December 31, 2008 the Wii leads the generation over the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.


The distinguishing feature is the wireless controller console in Wii, called Wii Remote, which is used as a handheld pointing device and detects movement in three dimensions.


Wii is Nintendo's of its type fifth home console, the direct successor to the Nintendo GameCube, and can be used to play all official GameCube games. Wii was first told by Nintendo at the 2004 E3 press conference and was successfully unveiled the system at 2005 E3.
